FORRYGENDE FOREDRAG MED TEAM TVILLING

TEAM TVILLING, Steen og Peder Mondrup besøgte Specialskolen Bramsnæsvig lørdag i sidste weekend. Det var en stor succes med deltagelse af børn, forældre, bedsteforældre, søskende og venner af skolen.

TEAM TVILLING fortalte deres historie om den kamp og alle de udfordringer de har mødt på deres vej, for anerkendelse af “handi-atleters” deltagelse i den almindelige sport.

Det er dybt fascinerende, at høre hvordan de har brudt rammer og tabuer for hvad handicappede kan og vil. De er et forbillede for mange handicappede ikke bare i Danmark, men også i andre lande i Europa.

TEAM TVILLING leverede et underholdende, sjovt og på samme tid rørende foredrag. Eleverne på skolen, Isak, Mikkel, Marcus, Rafael og Beinta har allerede stor glæde ved at træne med TEAM TVILLING.

Hver søndag træner og deltager de i forskellige løb og arrangementer. Det sociale fællesskab og anerkendelsen har en stor betydning for børnene.

Efter foredraget fik børnene på skolen mulighed for at prøve de forskellige løbevogne og en snak med Steen og Peder.

Eva Steensig (Isaks mor) udtaler: “Mødet med Team Tvilling har ændret Isaks liv – han gik fra at være multihandicappet til marathonløber…”

“Vi vil søge om fondsmidler til anskaffelse af et par løbevogne til skolen, som vores børn i både skole og aflastning vil have glæde af.

Den glæde som børnene udstråler ved at løbe med og det at føle sig som en del af et fælleskab, har en stor betydning for børnenes trivsel og udvikling. Det skal komme flere til gavn”, udtaler skoleleder Pia Holm.
